iNomado: unlimited calls for iPhone, iPod and iPad users
The Genval (BEL) based Nomado Telecom has recently created software that permits you to make unlimited free calls on your iPhone, iPod or iPad, using innovative Voip technology.
People are calling it the “Voip Revolution” but what exactly does this mean and how is it going to change the way we make phone calls?
“Voip” stands for “Voice over IP” and is a way of routing phone calls through a cell-phone's Internet connection, rather than using the cell-phone network. As a result of bypassing the cellular network, users can stand to make significant savings on their phone bills.
For this reason, Nomado Telecom is fast becoming a thorn in the side of network operators worldwide since it has released the iNomado – an app that has been developed for the iPhone and iPad and which makes it easy for users to take advantage of the benefits of Voip. For incoming and outgoing calls on WiFi or 3G.
A phone call made to an US mobile costs, for example, less than 2euro cents per minute. That's an international call at a rate that most providers would charge for a local call. Better still, phone calls are unlimited and free between users of the app, so if you can persuade those who you call the most to sign-up the savings could be substantial.
This type of service is beginning to gain popularity, and Nomado is already popular amongst users of Nokia, Samsung, HTC and other Smartphones. The market for these types of phones is expected to grow by 30% annually until 2014, making Voip an option for more people than ever before.

Nomado has also recently released an unique application for Mac, the macPhone that turns the Mac into a telephone in one click. In a couple of week it will be an Android version that will be released.
